Methods of treatment

The Data Controller processes the Users’ Personal Data by adopting the appropriate security measures aimed at preventing unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or destruction of Personal Data.
The processing is carried out using IT and/or telematic tools, with organizational methods and with logic strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Data Controller, in some cases, categories of persons involved in the organization of the site (administrative, commercial, marketing, legal, system administrators) or external subjects (such as third party technical service providers, postal couriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies) also appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Data Controller. The updated list of Managers can always be requested from the Data Controller.

The User Data is collected to allow the application to provide its services, as well as for the following purposes: Contacting the User, Management of RSS feeds, Statistics, Management of addresses and sending of email messages and Interaction with social networks and external platforms.

What personal data I collect and why I collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site,  I collect the data shown  in the comments form as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An  anonymized string  created from your email address (also called a hash) can be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact form

On the website there are contact forms inserted with the  Contact Form 7 plugin . Through these forms I allow potential customers to contact me for business reasons. The data requested are name, surname and email: they are used only for conversations relating to the activity requested by the user.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on the site you may opt-in to  saving your name , email address and website in cookies. They are for your convenience so that you don’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will remain for one year.

Content embedded from other websites

Articles on this site may include  embedded content  (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as the visitor visited the other website.

How I protect your data

WordPress, as a CMS, does not share data with anyone. The same goes for emails sent from the contact form. This site has chosen Siteground as its hosting service, protects personal data with  an SSL certificate  and does not use profiling or remarketing systems.

How long I keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can automatically recognize and approve any  follow-up comments  instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit or delete their  personal information  at any time (except their username which they cannot change). Website administrators can also see and edit this information.

What rights do you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase all personal data held about you. This does not include data we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.
